Rich Fields is a 40+ year, Emmy award winning media personality, author and public speaker who is probably best known for having been the announcer on The Price Is Right with both Bob Barker and Drew Carey.
In addition to being one of Hollywood's premier game show announcers, Rich is also an Emmy Award winning television meteorologist. His list of broadcasting and entertainment credentials also include being an award-winning radio personality, a show host and M/C, a foundation spokesperson and he's had acting roles on a number of nationally televised soap operas and sitcoms including How I Met Your Mother, According To Jim, The Young & Restless and The Bold & The Beautiful. Rich is also an accomplished commercial voice-over artist with four decades of experience.
In 2004 Bob Barker personally hand-pick Rich (out of over 200 applicants) to be his new announcer on The Price Is Right. Rich work side-by-side with Bob through to his retirement in 2007 and then continued on with Drew Carey as host for another three years. Rich is the only Price announcer to have worked with both Barker and Carey as the show's host.
Rich has since retired from traditional broadcasting and has written a book about his tenure working in the television industry in Hollywood.
