A few words from rich...
I learned at an early age, that nobody was going to hand me anything in life. My father taught me that, ”If you want something, you are going to have to go out and earn it for yourself." Easier said than done, right? Well, not really!
Between the ages of 18 and 21 I was handed two separate, life-threatening cancer diagnoses... and later found myself homeless in Hollywood as well. But no adversity was going to deny me my ultimate dream-job of being the announcer on The Price Is Right. And in 2004 that is exactly what happened when Bob Barker hand-picked me to be his new announcer and side-kick on the long-running CBS game show. I would end up not only working with Bob until his retirement, but would stay on to work with Drew Carey as well, the only announcer in the show's history to have worked with both hosts.
In the years since getting the Price job, I have lent my voice to a total of nine different television game shows. After The Price is Right, I also had a long and distinguished career as a popular Los Angeles television meteorologist.
So, how does a career like that happen? Well, it doesn't just "happen". It's a self-manifestation of destiny. And you can do it for yourself too.
