RICH'S BIO

Rich Fields is a 40+ year, Emmy award winning broadcasting veteran, a television meteorologist, a business entrepreneur, a two-time author... and a two-time cancer survivor. Rich also found himself homeless in Hollywood. But nothing was going to keep Rich from his life-path of becoming Bob Barker's announcer on The Price Is Right. A position Rich always knew that he would have one day. Sounds crazy, right? But it's true! The intuitive revelation that Rich had received as a little boy came true when Mr. Barker hand-picked Rich to be the new announcer of The Price Is Right in April of 2004.

Since 2004, Rich has gone on to being one of the most prolific show announcers in television history, having lent his voice to 9 different game show titles, including not only The Price Is Right but Wheel of Fortune, Press Your Luck and many more!

Rich graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcasting & Mass Communications and received his meteorology training through Mississippi State University. Rich has worked at a total of 18 different radio stations and 4 different television stations across the country. Rich's most notable position (after The Price Is Right) was his 6-year stint as the night-time weatherman at CBS's owned and operated duopoly, KCBS & KCAL9 in Los Angeles.

Rich has appeared on countless radio, television and internet podcasts talking about the power of our intuition, what Rich calls our "Inner GPS" and recently did a publicity blitz for his book where he appeared on over 50 different podcasts in 70 days. Rich even appeared on 19 different iHeart Radio stations in a single day!

Rich is a fascinating and dynamic speaker who knows how to captivate and inspire event members, he's been doing it his entire career.

Rich's latest book, Trust Your Inner GPS is the true story of how he knew from an early age that one day he would be working with Bob Barker at The Price Is Right. It's a remarkable story of faith, focus and determination to make a dream come true. The book chronicles Rich's battles through two life-threatening cancer diagnosis... plus him ending up homeless in Hollywood. But nothing was going to deter Rich from that intuitive Price Is Right mandate that he received as a young boy.
