MY INVITATION

Since the release of my book, Trust Your Inner GPS, I have received countless requests from people wanting to sit down and speak with me. Why? Well, many just want a moment to talk about Mr. Barker and The Price Is Right, and that's Ok. Some folks write to say that they would like my advice or guidance on one topic or another, recognizing that my 40+ year broadcasting career has given me a lot of valuable expertise and insight (two things that could benefit any young talent, writer or producer). 

For years, behind the scenes, I have coached and mentored dozens of radio and television broadcasters. I have helped talent get to their next big TV news or radio market by critiquing their demos and giving them inside tips about their on-air presence, appearance, persona and delivery. It's exciting work for me and I love it.

During my tenure in Hollywood, I also developed and pitched a number of shows ideas (for radio, television and the internet). Some pitches got a green light but many others didn't. However, I kept meticulous notes on each pitch meeting that I had over the years and later compiled all of my notes into a book titled; How To Pitch Your Show Idea. It's a comprehensive guide to the art of pitching your shows to network and production executives. This self-contained course manual covers everything you need in order to develop your pitch package.

Lately, I have also been asked to expound on my three keys to attaining any goal in life, a topic that I have come to know quite a bit about. It's all about connecting with your intuition. Throughout my life, I have found that connecting with your intuition is like connecting with your soul; once you plug into it, clarity follows, and everything falls into place. My entire life and career is a testament to me listening to, and trusting my intuition (or as I call it in my book "Trust Your Inner GPS". It’s how I had a nearly 40 year career as an award-winning radio personality. It’s how I became an Emmy Award winning television meteorologist. It’s how I became the announcer of The Price Is Right in 2004. It’s how I built Fields Productions, Inc. into an award-winning social media content production company.
